Come join us in support of Vietnam Veterans, as we will walk the Golden Gate Bridge to honor and recognize Vietnam Veterans’ sacrifice and rejoice in their return to American soil.
Why we are walking across the Golden Gate Bridge?
“Many Vietnam veterans still feel unappreciated and unrecognized for their sacrifices for our country. The emotional and physical toll of war still remains alive for many Vietnam Veterans. The city of San Francisco was a key location for deployment in addition to receiving many returning Veterans. In support of Vietnam Veterans, annually we will walk the Golden Gate Bridge to honor and recognize their sacrifice and rejoice in their return to American soil.
Let’s not forget those that did not make it home to love ones.
Let’s not forget our POWs and MIAs.
Hopefully this walk will bring some closure to all they have gone thru.”
-Charles U. Smith
March 30th has been designated “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” by the US Senate.
